Education work
Karen currently hold’s the position of Senior Lecturer for Conducting at Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Through the basics of technique, score study and making your way to the podium, Karen’s motto is ‘motivate them to play/sing for and with you’. Show them when, how and most importantly, why.
Karen has worked with Ensemble der Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum Salzburg, Chetham’s School of Music Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra, West of England Youth Orchestra, Leeds’s University and Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra as well as serving as Music Director for Winston Salem Symphony Youth Orchestra’s Programme.
